ST30X and ST32 Manual Extract: Removal of Power Steering Unit
- Remove the floor mat (LH and RH).
- Detach four bolts and remove the center cover.
- Remove four screws to detach the column cover.
- Remove six screws and disconnect couplers for related wiring harness, then remove the rear cover.
- Loosen two bolts and remove two screws to disconnect the meter panel coupler and tachometer cable.
- Remove the front cover and throttle cable.
- Disconnect four hydraulic hoses from the Orbitrol power steering unit (1) as illustrated in FIG. 58.
- Remove four bolts (2) to detach the steering post from the Orbitrol power steering unit.
- Remove additional bolts (3) to fully remove the power steering unit from the steering post.
