Installation Instructions

1. Check the wear plates on both sides of the track frame. Replace if worn.
2. Attach a chain hoist to the mounting brackets using cap screws designed for guide plates.
3. Utilize the chain hoist to help slide the idler onto the track frame; ensure the oil fill hole faces away from the machine.
4. Disconnect the chain hoist from the mounting brackets.
5. Install cap screws for the wear plates at the track frame’s front.
6. Reinstall the same number of shims between the track adjuster yoke and mounting brackets, then secure with lock washers and cap screws.
7. Ensure alignment using the Parallel and Vertical Alignment instructions under Idler Adjustments.
8. Check and adjust the clearance between wear plates and mounting brackets by adding or removing shims.
9. Position guide plates and secure them with shims and cap screws. Check Center Alignment under Idler Adjustments for accuracy.
