Usage Recommendations
- Park the machine on a level surface and lower any attachments to the floor.
- Ensure the oil reaches the required operating temperature:
- Run the engine at full throttle, holding the loader control lever in the ROLLBACK position for 15 seconds.
- Move the loader control lever to NEUTRAL for 15 seconds.
- Repeat until the oil is at 125u00b0F (51u00b0C), or the reservoir feels very warm.
- Attach a pressure gauge (capacity of at least 4000 psi, 27 580 kPa, 276 bar) to the quick disconnect fitting at Test Port 1, located inside the LH frame rail to the left of the engine.
- Turn the steering wheel completely to the right or left while running the engine at full throttle and record the pressure reading.
- Reduce the engine to low idle for two minutes before stopping it.
- Compare your recorded pressure reading against the specifications provided on page 2 of the manual.
- If the reading is incorrect, refer to Section 5002 for repair or replacement of the steering control valve.
