This section provides step-by-step instructions to conduct a steering cylinder leak test. Follow the instructions carefully to diagnose and resolve any leakage issues effectively.
- Ensure the area around the center pivot is clear of all persons and obstructions.
- Park the machine on a level surface.
- Turn the machine fully to the right.
- Stop the engine and apply the parking brake.
- Locate the tube connected to the rod end of the left-hand steering cylinder and disconnect it.
- Install a plug in the disconnected tube.
- Start the engine and run it at full throttle.
- Turn the steering wheel to the right and hold it. Have another person check for leakage from the rod end of the left-hand steering cylinder.

- Repeat the procedure for the right-hand steering cylinder, checking for leakage at the rod end.
