Tension Pulley Removal and Installation

1. Remove the bolt (Item 1) from the idler pulley pivot arm.
2. Remove the thrust washer (Item 2), O-Rings (Item 3), and spring (Item 4).
3. Check all parts for damage or wear and replace as needed.
Note: When making any repairs, replace the bronze bushing (Item 5) with a new style nylon bushing. Clean all parts and assemble dry.
Air Cleaner Removal and Installation
1. Loosen the hose clamp on the air cleaner intake hose (Item 1).
2. Loosen the hose clamp on the intake manifold hose (Item 2) and disconnect the hose.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing mounting bolts (Item 3) and move the air cleaner housing out of the engine compartment.
4. Disconnect the wires from the sender unit and remove the air cleaner.
5. Installation: Tighten the bolts to 2528 ft.lbs. (3438 Nm) torque.
