Manual Extract: Heating the Oil Procedure
Ensure optimal performance by following these steps to heat the oil in the torque converter:
- Start the engine and allow it to run at a low idle speed.
- Verify that the parking brake is disengaged.
- Depress and maintain pressure on the brake pedal throughout the procedure.
- Set the transmission range switch to the HIGH setting.
- Select the THIRD position in FORWARD on the transmission shift lever.
- Adjust the hand throttle to the TRAVEL (DETENT) position.
- Increase the engine speed to full throttle and maintain this speed for one minute.
- Reduce the engine speed to low idle, then shift the transmission lever to NEUTRAL for 30 seconds.
