Manual Extract: Drain Pressure Procedure
This section provides a detailed procedure for draining pressure to ensure optimal machine performance. Follow the steps carefully to maintain the integrity of the machineu2019s hydraulics system.
Steps for Draining Pressure
-
Operate the machine to heat the oil to the operating temperature. To do this:
- Run the engine at low idle.
- Raise the parking latch levers and slowly move the direction control levers to FORWARD until the pins for the parking latch engage each drive sprocket.
- Ensure that with the pins engaged, the machine does not move.
-
Stop the engine and safely remove the seat.
-
Install a tee between the hose and elbow. Use the following specifications:
- The hose and elbow threads should be 1-1/16 – 12 flare.
Connect a 100 psi (689 kPa, 6.8 bar) pressure gauge to the tee.
-
Start and run the engine at full throttle, then move the control lever to 1/2 stroke FORWARD and hold. Ensure the pressure is less than 25 psi (172 kPa, 2 bar).
-
Release the direction control lever, decrease the engine speed to idle, and stop the engine.
-
If the pressure exceeds the specified level, inspect for a bent hose that might restrict flow between the piston pump and the reservoir.
Usage and Maintenance Recommendations
- Ensure regular maintenance checks to avoid unexpected downtimes.
- Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery.
- Consult the manual for troubleshooting and detailed component specifications.
