Manual Extract: Removing the Engine

Follow these steps to safely remove the engine:

• Disconnect the battery leads.
• Remove the engine cover, left and right bumpers, and the bulkhead access plate (see sub-section 8.2.2).
• Detach the engine throttle cable from the engine.
• Disconnect the engine ground cable.
• Drain the engine coolant.
• Remove the radiator (see sub-section 2.2.9).
• Disconnect the radiator’s top and bottom hoses, as well as heater hoses at the engine.
• Disconnect and blank off the fuel feed and return lines.
• Remove the main hydraulic pump (see sub-section 10.2.8).
• Note: Ensure to identify all electrical wiring to aid in re-connection.
• Disconnect all engine electrical wiring.
• Detach the exhaust pipe at the manifold and the silencer at the bracket, then remove the exhaust system.
