Manual Extract
Follow this guide for the inspection and maintenance of the transmission control valve.
- Use a cleaning solvent to thoroughly clean all metal components.
- Examine the springs for any signs of wear, cracks, heat distortion, and other damage. Replace the springs if necessary.
- Check the spool and pistons for damage or wear. Ensure that the orifice in the outer modulation piston is unobstructed and replace parts as required.
- Inspect the control valve body for cracks, corrosion, and wear, paying close attention to bores for wear. Ensure that the small orifice in the identified bore is clear. Replace the control valve body with a new one if any issues are found.
- For the plate that held the ball in position, place the ball on the hole in the plate, ensuring contact with the radius edge. Examine it against a bright light to ensure no light passes through between the plate and the ball.
