The operation of the injector is designed to be both simple and effective. Fuel, pressurized by the injection pump, travels into the injector body, passing through the valve stop channel and into the pressure chamber surrounding the injector tip valve. When fuel pressure exceeds the spring orifice threshold, it opens the valve, allowing atomized fuel to enter the combustion chamber. Upon cessation of fuel delivery, pressure drops, and a control spring swiftly seals the valve, averting leakage. This precise opening and closing emit a distinct noise. A small quantity of fuel deliberately leaks during injection, providing necessary lubrication to injector components, and is subsequently cycled back to the fuel tank.
