For your safety, do not remove the check valve. The track adjustment cylinder contains grease under high pressure, and improper handling may lead to injury. Ensure you follow the correct procedure by loosening the check valve gradually to safely release grease pressure. This involves:

• Loosening the track as much as possible.
• Slowly adjusting the check valve until grease flows from the adjustment cylinder (approximately two turns).
• Noting that grease will flow from a groove in the check valve.
