Manual Extract: Relief Valve Check
Instructions for Checking Hydraulic Relief Valve:
- Ensure that all hydraulic circuits and the hydraulic oil are clean before proceeding.
- Gradually increase the pressure while keeping the machine at a low idle. Check for any external oil leaks.
- Use hydraulic oil with an aniline point between 82u00b0C and 113u00b0C (180u00b0F to 235u00b0F).
- Do not exceed the specified pressure levels for the relief valve.
- Maintain at least a 2.0 MPa (290 psi) difference between the main relief valve pressure setting and the overload relief valve setting.
- Warm up the machinery adequately before starting operations.
Usage Recommendations
It’s crucial to avoid operational issues due to temperature shocks, particularly when the hydraulic or valve temperature is low. Follow these guidelines:
- Avoid operating the main relief valve and overload relief valve in quick succession.
- Ensure a uniform temperature increase in all sections and promote good circulation of hydraulic oil within each actuator.
- Avoid sudden fine or compound operations as they can cause localized heating due to throttling.
