Manual Extract: Brake Pump – Check
Note: The following procedure outlines the removal of the rear travel motor, located on the right-hand side of the drum. The steps are identical for removing the front travel motor, situated on the left-hand side of the drum.
Step-by-Step Procedure
- Place a suitable drain collector with adequate capacity under the frame. Approximate drain volume: 60 L (16 US gal).
- Remove the drain plug and drain the hydraulic oil.
- Support the frame on both sides.
- Place suitable drain collectors under the travel motor to be removed.
- Drain the oil from the travel reduction gear.
- Remove hoses (2) and (3) from the travel motor (1).
- Remove hoses (4) and (5) from the travel motor (1).
- Cover the ports with protective plugs.
- Remove the bolts (6).
- Remove the travel motor (1).
- If the motor needs to be replaced, remove the flanges (7) from the motor (1).
