Steering Cylinder – Removal Procedure:
- Remove the bolts, spring washers, and lock plate securing the cylinder head pin.
- Extract the pin and disconnect the cylinder head from the articulation joint, keeping the rings for reinstallation. Note: For crab cylinders, the cylinder head is attached to the frame.
- Remove the bolts, spring washers, and lock plate securing the steering cylinder rod end pin.
- Extract the pin and disconnect the cylinder rod end from the frame, keeping the rings for reinstallation. Note: For crab cylinders, the cylinder rod end is attached to the articulation joint.
- Detach the cylinder from its bracket.
- Disconnect the hoses from the cylinder.
