Manual Extract: Connecting Rods, Bearings, and Pistons
Removal Procedure
- Loosen and remove the two nuts securing the connecting rod caps.
- Detach the connecting rod caps and the lower half of the connecting rod bearing.
- If necessary, eliminate any ridge at the top of the cylinder bores using a suitable ridge reamer.
- Carefully push the piston and connecting rod assembly out of the cylinder block.
- Reattach the connecting rod cap to the corresponding piston assembly, ensuring it remains in the original cylinder sequence.
