Mechanical Transmission External Controls – Adjustment
The following steps guide you through adjusting the mechanical transmission’s external controls:
- Measure the dimension (A) at the cable end as depicted in Figure 1. The ideal measurement for dimension (A) is approximately 26.000 mm (1.024 in). Adjust as necessary.
- On the opposite end of the cable, count the visible threads (B). There should be 6 or 7 threads. Adjust the thread length by tuning the nuts on both sides of the cable mounting bracket (C).
- Ensure the nuts are adjusted such that the shuttle lever begins to move when the clutch pedal is depressed beyond its free play, measured at 50.00 – 55.00 mm (1.97 – 2.17 in) from rest, then securely tighten the nuts.
