Mechanical Transmission External Controls – Adjustment

The following steps guide you through adjusting the mechanical transmission’s external controls:

1. Measure the dimension (A) at the cable end as depicted in Figure 1. The ideal measurement for dimension (A) is approximately 26.000 mm (1.024 in). Adjust as necessary.
2. On the opposite end of the cable, count the visible threads (B). There should be 6 or 7 threads. Adjust the thread length by tuning the nuts on both sides of the cable mounting bracket (C).
3. Ensure the nuts are adjusted such that the shuttle lever begins to move when the clutch pedal is depressed beyond its free play, measured at 50.00 – 55.00 mm (1.97 – 2.17 in) from rest, then securely tighten the nuts.
