Manual Extract: Compaction Front Drum – Installation Procedure

Installation Steps:

1. Place the frame on suitable supports on both sides.
2. Utilize appropriate lifting equipment to hang and lift the drum, then mount it into the frame without allowing it to bump into the frame.
3. Ensure a gap of 22.0 u2013 26.0 mm (0.9 u2013 1.0 in) between the frame and the drum on both sides.
4. Screw the bracket on the right side to the frame. If necessary, use shims to ensure a secure fit.
5. Loosen the bolts on the left side of the drum.
6. Attach the weight to the frame and retighten it with the bolts.
7. Using a square, measure the distance between the drum and frame near multiple joints (refer to figure 6) to confirm the drum is axially centered.
8. Carefully lift the drum and remove the supports.
