Brake System: Automatic Adjuster Test

• Ensure drum-to-shoe clearance is within 0.4 to 0.6 mm (0.016 to 0.024 in.). Proper installation of all wheel brake components is crucial.
• Check the lever operation by pushing the cable with your thumb to engage the adjusting lever and verify it turns the adjusting screw by one tooth.
• If malfunctions occur, ensure the lever is properly positioned, so its actuating tip contacts the sprocket wheel correctly.
• Inspect for correct installation of Springs A and B, and replace defective parts such as the fitting cable, adjusting lever, or adjusting screw if necessary.
