The parking brake is a wet-negative-type single disc brake, released only when brake release pressure oil enters the brake piston chamber.

Brake Release:

• When the pilot control shut-off lever is in the UNLOCKED position, the pilot shut-off switch activates.
• This action turns on the pilot shut-off valve solenoid, guiding pilot pressure to the brake piston chamber.
• The brake piston moves upward, releasing contact with the disc plate and disengaging the brake.

Brake Application:

• When the pilot control shut-off lever is in the LOCKED position, the pilot shut-off switch is deactivated.
