CAUTION: To prevent personal injury, adhere to the following guidelines:
- Always stop the engine and remove the key before replacing the oil and oil filter.
- Allow the engine to cool down to avoid burns from hot oil.
- Remove the oil filter.
- Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to the rubber seal of the new filter.
- Tighten the filter quickly until it contacts the mounting surface. Then, hand-tighten it by an additional 1/2 turn.
- Check for oil leaks at the seal and ensure the oil level is correct using the dipstick, then add more oil if necessary to reach the prescribed level.
- Dispose of used oil responsibly.
