Regeneration Check
The AC motor of these forklifts utilizes a common circuit for both loading and regeneration, which enhances energy efficiency.
To confirm regeneration, follow this procedure:
- Attach a clamp ammeter to the cable connected to the inverteru2019s F terminal, using the DC current range.
- Drive the forklift forward with the direction lever in the ‘F’ position and release the accelerator pedal, then execute a full-reverse operation.
- A negative reading on the clamp ammeter indicates the regeneration current.
Energy is generated when the motor rotates due to an external force, resulting in regeneration power if this energy surpasses that consumed by the controller and motor.
Note that regeneration current might not be detected if the speed or load changes gradually.
