Manual Extract: Steering Pressure Limit Setting (Tier 2)
Ensure optimal steering performance by setting the pressure limits correctly:
- With the engine running at high RPM, the pressure at port P of the tool distributor must be between 239 and 243 bar.
- Verify the pressure value in paragraph A is as indicated (22-25 bar).
- With the engine off and the bucket grounded, connect a quick-coupling pressure gauge to point P.
- Lock the articulation, start the engine, and activate JSS. Steer the joystick to full lock in both directions. The pressure reading should match 239 to 243 bar.
- If discrepancies occur, ensure all hydraulic connections are properly secured.
Steering Speed Adjustments
Note that steering speed varies with vehicle speed, reducing sensitivity by 80% at 20 km/h. The Joystick Steering System (JSS) allows for adjustable steering speeds at three levels:
- Speed Level 1: 4.5 to 5.5 seconds
- Speed Level 2: 3.2 to 4.5 seconds
- Speed Level 3: 2.8 to 3.2 seconds
(Time taken to steer from full right to full left)
