Injection Pump Refit Instructions

Manual Extract: Refit the Injection Pump

Installation Steps

1. Ensure all tightening torques are observed as outlined on page 12.
2. For the BOSCH injection pump, align the stud bolts in the engine flywheel casing with the holes on the pump flange.
3. Perform the timing adjustment of the injection pump in relation to the drive gear according to the procedure on page 100.
4. Loosen the retaining and safety bolt of the injection pump timing.
5. Reinsert the L spacer and secure the retaining bolts.
6. Release the engine flywheel, remove tools 380000988 and 380000732, and reinstall the starter motor.
7. Reconnect the pipes and fittings of the diesel delivery and return pipes to the injectors and pump.
8. Attach the retaining brackets and secure the pipes connecting the injection pump to the injectors.
9. Reconnect the four pipes between the injection pump and injectors, ensuring all fittings are tight.
10. Reconnect the electrical connection for engine oil pressure measurement.
11. Install the fittings of the pipes connecting the injection pump and injectors, as well as the thermos starter device and engine stop device electrical connections.
12. Reconnect the pipe from the fuel filter to the fuel pump, ensuring quick couplers are secured.
13. Connect the pipe supplying the injection pump and link quick couplers to both the filter and pump.
14. Attach the pipe coming from the fuel tank.
15. Reconnect the engine stop electromagnet cable.
16. Install the throttle control lever along with its retaining clip.
17. Fit the hood in place.
18. Reconnect the battery negative cable and securely lower the hood.
