Injection Pump Refit Instructions
Manual Extract: Refit the Injection Pump
Installation Steps
- Ensure all tightening torques are observed as outlined on page 12.
- For the BOSCH injection pump, align the stud bolts in the engine flywheel casing with the holes on the pump flange.
- Perform the timing adjustment of the injection pump in relation to the drive gear according to the procedure on page 100.
- Loosen the retaining and safety bolt of the injection pump timing.
- Reinsert the L spacer and secure the retaining bolts.
- Release the engine flywheel, remove tools 380000988 and 380000732, and reinstall the starter motor.
- Reconnect the pipes and fittings of the diesel delivery and return pipes to the injectors and pump.
- Attach the retaining brackets and secure the pipes connecting the injection pump to the injectors.
- Reconnect the four pipes between the injection pump and injectors, ensuring all fittings are tight.
- Reconnect the electrical connection for engine oil pressure measurement.
- Install the fittings of the pipes connecting the injection pump and injectors, as well as the thermos starter device and engine stop device electrical connections.
- Reconnect the pipe from the fuel filter to the fuel pump, ensuring quick couplers are secured.
- Connect the pipe supplying the injection pump and link quick couplers to both the filter and pump.
- Attach the pipe coming from the fuel tank.
- Reconnect the engine stop electromagnet cable.
- Install the throttle control lever along with its retaining clip.
- Fit the hood in place.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable and securely lower the hood.
