Discharge Procedure

Follow these steps to discharge electric charges stored in the inverters:

• Turn OFF the key switch.
• Disconnect the battery plug/connector.
• Remove the rear cover.
• Use a 150 u03a9/25 W resistor between P and N terminals in the traction inverter to discharge electric charges.
• Touch the resistor to the terminals for approximately five seconds and then use a multimeter to confirm a reading of 5V or less.
• Repeat the procedure for the pump inverter.

• Ensure electric charges are discharged completely before conducting any measurements or maintenance.
• On initial battery plug/connector reconnection, verify the resistance between + and – terminals is 1 ku03a9 or more.
