Fuel Tank Removal Process

Preparation for Removal:

1. Draining fuel:
   • Unlock cap (B1) with the starter key and open it.
   • Loosen valve (A7-1) under the tank.
   • Drain the fuel. Capacity of tank: 300 L (80 gal).
2. Remove cover assembly (A8) and guard assembly (6).
3. Remove panel assembly (3X).
4. Remove under cover (12).
5. Detach the connector for the fuel level sensor (A4).
6. Remove fuel hose:
   • Loosen clips (13), (17) and remove hoses (6) and (5).
   • Plug hose openings to prevent leakage.
7. Fuel filter assembly removal:
   • Remove 2 sems bolts (18) M10x30.
   • Detach the fuel filter assembly and temporarily secure it to the guard.

Removal:

1. Remove 4 capscrews (A1) M16 40.
2. Hook a wire to the lifting eye on the fuel tank assembly (B6) and remove the fuel tank. Weight: 140 kg (310 lbs).
3. Remove shim (A3). Note the locations of shims for reassembly.
