Separation of the Engine from Clutch Housing
Follow these steps to separate the engine from the clutch housing:
- Drain the transmission oil.
- Remove the hood and additional components.
- Detach the bolt of the 4WD shaft-cover and remove it from the pivot metal.
- Disconnect the wiring connectors situated at the right bottom of the steering wheel column.
- Detach the throttle wire and disconnect the fuel pipe from the fuel filter. Note: Plug the pipe to prevent fuel spills.
- Remove the fuel filter along with the stay, and disconnect the delivery and suction pipes from the gear pump.
- Uninstall the fuel tank with its bracket.
- Remove all bolts except one which secures the engine to clutch housing. Important: Leave one bolt for safety to prevent premature separation.
- Place wooden blocks between the front axle and its bracket to hold the engine securely.
- Support the transmission case with a floor jack and lift the engine using a chain block, then remove the last bolt.
- Carefully separate the engine from the clutch housing.
Removal of Engine
Steps to remove the engine:
- Ensure the engine is separated from the clutch housing.
- Disconnect bolts for the grounding at the right side of the front axle bracket.
- Drain the engine coolant and disconnect the coolant drain hose.
- Detach the water pipes.
- Remove bolts fastening the engine and front axle bracket. Note: Pre-support the engine with a chain block for safety.
- Detach the front axle bracket.
