The active transport control system (ATC) greatly reduces shocks from mounted implements when traversing uneven terrain like furrows and potholes. It utilizes a nitrogen precharged accumulator acting as a damper, along with a solenoid valve linked to the feed pipe of both lift rams.

The system operates via a push-button switch located on the cab’s control panel, activated only when the lift/lower switch on the ELC control panel is in the lift position. When engaged, the solenoid valve remains open, connecting the damper to the supply oil of both lift rams. This arrangement effectively dampens pressure peaks from implement oscillations, easing driving conditions and protecting both the implement and tractor chassis from damage. The system is designed to ensure accumulator pressure never exceeds that of the lift rams.
