Extract from the Service Manual
Bleeding the Air
After replacing the hydraulic oil, it’s crucial to bleed the air from the hydraulic circuit and units. Failure to do so may damage the components.
Hydraulic Pump:
- Loosen the air-bleeding plug of the hydraulic pump.
- Tighten the plug once the hydraulic oil overflows from the hole.
Cylinders:
- Start the engine and let it run at low idle for 10 minutes.
- Extend and retract each cylinder 4 or 5 times at low-idle, avoiding stroke end.
- Increase to high speed and repeat the extension and retraction process.
- Return to low idle and extend and retract each cylinder again 4 or 5 times.
